Quandt’s Foodservice Distributors, Inc. is a company that Joseph A. Quandt started as a fish market in 1918. Over the past eight decades it has grown into the region’s premier independent food service distributor with a market area that spans most of Eastern New York State to the Canadian border and parts of western New England.
Today, the company remains a family controlled operation which has shown sustained growth and earned national recognition for excellence in its field. Based in Amsterdam, NY, the company employs over 130 people and is currently operating with a total of 89,583 square feet of freezer, cooler, and dry warehouse space.
The leadership of Quandt’s Foodservice has demonstrated commitment to the “extended family” of experienced and hardworking employees and to the customers they serve.
